Being touched by the spirits will give OU characters the ability to speak and understand the language without even realizing there's a difference. To them, they'll be speaking and hearing English or whatever their native language is.

However, because reading and writing is not a natural part of language, they will not automatically recognize or understand the written part of the language. That, they'll have to learn with time.
